[Business Luncheon] The Business Case for Inclusive Leadership and Gender Equality

Gender equality is commonly known as a social justice issue, but is also a driving force behind higher business productivity and economic growth. Businesses which implement polices encouraging gender equality enjoy improved performance, organizational reputation, and the ability to attract top talent and retain employees. Studies analyzing these outcomes theorize that diversity brings together varied perspectives, and produces a more comprehensive ability to manage company issues, leading to improved decision-making. Furthermore, businesses paying attention to gender equality will be equally appealing to women and men, resulting in a larger talent pool. It can also retain talent, and avoid high staff turnover, the associated loss of specialist knowledge and productivity and the increased cost in hiring and training new employees. A business will also enjoy an esteemed reputation since many specialists recognize that gender equality is critical to an organization’s success and is viewed as a baseline requirement for leading organizations.
In order to publicize the value of women in business and celebrate Vietnamese Women’s Day in 2022, EuroCham with the Women in Business Sector Committee co-organize an event “The Business Case for Inclusive Leadership and Gender Equality”.
