On 5 January 2023, the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), one of the latest EU Regulations, entered into force and is expected to affect businesses all over the world, including in Vietnam. EuroCham and PwC Vietnam would like to invite you to join the business luncheon titled “CSRD and Its Impacts on Businesses in Vietnam” to gain deeper understanding about the CSRD and its implications for the Vietnamese market, so as to have proper preparation for maintaining your company’s competitive advantages, overcoming potential challenges as well as seizing the opportunities it brings about.

1. Nguyen Hoang NamESG Leader | Partner, Assurance services | PwC Vietnam
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Nam is currently the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Leader and Financial Service Assurance Leader at PwC Vietnam.
With more than 25 years of experience, he has worked with many domestic and international businesses from
a variety of industries to transform and improve their sustainability practices. Under Mr. Nam’s leadership, PwC has successfully implemented many advisory projects that help develop sustainability strategies, conduct sustainability gap assessments, prepare sustainability reports and provide limited assurance on sustainability indicators for business clients.
In addition to his experience in providing consultation to corporations, Mr. Nam has also worked with the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE) to evaluate the sustainability practices among leading listed companies. Through these experiences, he has gained a profound understanding of legal requirements for non-financial information disclosure and effective methods for implementing ESG in international markets as well as in Vietnam.
Mr. Nam has been a keynote speaker in many sustainability-themed events conducted by prestigious organisations and companies pioneering ESG practices. His sharing has helped businesses overcome challenges in the process of developing and implementing ESG plans towards a sustainable future. -
2. Luong The CuongManager of Risk Assurance - ESG Services at PwC Vietnam
Mr. Cuong has extensive experience delivering advisory projects on sustainability and risk management for businesses in various industries over the past 8 years. Through these projects, he has supported companies in identifying proper visions and goals for each material topic when practicing sustainability. From there, businesses can develop effective initiatives and implementation roadmaps, as well as prepare sustainability reports in accordance with the requirements of international standards.
Besides his consulting role, Mr. Cuong also takes part in training and sharing knowledge about ESG, analyzing its associated risks and opportunities, for many Vietnamese businesses. Additionally, he is also the team leader of PwC professionals who review the evaluation scoring of sustainability practices to select 20 corporations in the VNSI list of the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE).

3. Thuy Nguyen (Emily)Sustainability Manager Asia & Vietnam at De Heus Vietnam | Vice Chairwoman of Eurocham Food, Agri & Aqua Sector Committee (FAABS)
Emily is the Sustainability Manager Asia & Vietnam where she is responsible for the ESG agenda of De Heus in the region. She joined De Heus after completing University in the Netherlands in 2014. Emily has worked across various functions, including project management, M&A and strategic marketing. Through her work in various locations including Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar, the Netherlands and Vietnam, Emily has gained practical insights into the agriculture value chain.
In 2024, Emily was elected as Vice Chairwoman of the Food, Agri and Aqua Sector Committee under EuroCham.

5. Le AnhSustainability Director of DUYTAN Recycling
Mr. Le Anh graduated from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and received a master’s degree from Maastricht University in the Netherlands. As DUYTAN Recycling’s Sustainability Director, Mr. Le Anh plays an important role in promoting sustainable development programs and external affairs to realize business strategies in line with the company’s vision. He has successfully connected the company with major brands and partners and cooperated with organizations and associations in the industry to carry out activities and initiatives related to sustainable development, contributing to promoting sustainable development and propelling the future economy.
