Large Enterprise

Ordinary Corporate Member

Companies in good standing which have a legal presence in Vietnam in a form permitted by the laws of Vietnam, that fulfill any of the following conditions:

  • Established under the laws of any EU Member State, an EFTA member country, or a country that was at any time a member state of the EU or EFTA and which has direct operations (e.g. distribution, marketing) in Vietnam, or;
  • Majority-owned subsidiaries of such companies, or;
  • Can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the Board of Directors that they have substantial ties to the EU, an EFTA member country, or a country that was at any time a member state of the EU or EFTA which has direct operations (e.g. distribution, marketing) in Vietnam.

Ordinary Corporate Member

  • Has more than 500 employees in Vietnam; or
  • More than 1,000 employees globally; or
  • Has operations in more than 5 countries

Definition:

Company with a legal presence in Vietnam in a form permitted by the laws of Vietnam that fulfill any of the following conditions:

  • Is established under the laws of any EU Member State
  • Is a majority-owned subsidiary of companies established under the laws of any EU Member State
  • Has substantial ties to the EU

Notice

  • Only 1 Nominated Representative per Ordinary Corporate Membership is entitled to voting rights
  • A Large enterprise (LE) Corporate member is entitled to nominate 4 Representatives who will receive Membership Cards
  • Representative offices are judged by their mother company structure and not by their own size in Vietnam

Small & Medium Enterprise - Ordinary Corporate Member

  • Not ordinarily resident in Vietnam.

Associate Individual Member has no Voting right

Honorary Individual Member

  • Individuals who have made, or are likely to make, a special contribution to the European Chamber of Commerce and
  • Who are invited by the Executive Committee to become Honorary Members of the European Chamber of Commerce.

Every candidate wishing to apply for admission to the European Chamber of Commerce as a Member must submit its application in the form prescribed by the Executive Committee to the main office address of the European Chamber of Commerce.

Applications shall be considered by the Executive Committee at the next Executive Committee Meeting following receipt of a duly completed application form and the Executive Committee will promptly notify an applicant whether or not it has been elected as a Member.

Election of a candidate as a Member will be valid from the date when a majority of the Executive Committee Members approves the application of such candidate.
