EIS Team participates in the World Scholar's Club – Hanoi 2017

International European School of HCMC proudly participate in the World Scholar's Club – Hanoi 2017. The 3 outstanding students are seeking financial sponsorship for their trip to Yale University, USA in November to perform in the last round of the competition

About the school:

The Europrean International School HCMC is founded in 2009 as the German International School with German curriculum and is subsidised by German Authorities. In 2012,  English became the official language of instruction. Since then, the school has been growing to be am IB World School, offering and academic and supportive English education for students from aged 2 to 18 years.
 

About the upcoming competition:

A renowned worldwide competition for Middle and High School students.

Helps students to look at the big picture before specializing and to find the fun in learning before falling in love with it.
The scholars have to prepare in six different subjects (Science and Technology, History, Literature, Arts and Music, Social Studies, and Special Area) to become knowledgeable in a wide range of topics related to this year’s theme: An Unlikely World. 
The competition consists of four challenges: team debate, collaborative writing, scholars’ challenge (an individual multiple choice test in all subjects), and the scholar’s bowl (a team quiz). After the regional round qualified teams can compete in the global round in the same challenges. Apart from the academic competition, there are several social and team- and community building events such as a scavenger hunt, a cultural fair, and their signature Scholar’s Ball.

Held at Vietnam National Convention Center from 26th June – 1st July, 2017.
3000 scholars from over 50 countries.
From Vietnam, participants include many students, teachers and parents from many local and international schools as well as journalists and government officers.
