As Vietnam continues to strengthen its position as a strategic destination for global investment and international business expansion, the demand for a highly skilled, globally competitive workforce has become more pressing than ever. International businesses are seeking talent with strong technical expertise, adaptability, digital skills, and cross-cultural competencies, while universities are under increasing pressure to ensure graduates are industry-ready.
EuroCham Vietnam, in collaboration with VinUniversity, is organising a seminar on Future Workforce Planning: Preparing Talents for Global Business and following by a campus visit. The programme will provide participants with an opportunity to experience VinUniversity’s world-class learning environment while bringing together business leaders and academic representatives to exchange perspectives on developing talent for an increasingly competitive global economy.
The programme will explore:
- Workforce readiness and the skills gap in Vietnam’s evolving economy.
- Employer expectations for future graduates, including technical, digital, and leadership competencies.
- Opportunities to strengthen university–industry collaboration through curriculum innovation, practical learning, and corporate engagement.
- Building partnerships between EuroCham members, VinUniversity, and the wider Vingroup ecosystem to develop globally competitive talent.

Mr. Torben MinkoVice Chairman, EuroCham Vietnam and Managing Director, B.Braun VietnamMr. Torben Minko has been on assignments in Asia Pacific for over 13 years, since 2015 based in Vietnam. In his current position as Managing Director B.Braun Vietnam Co., Ltd. he is overseeing one of the largest German FDI with more than 1,600 skilled employees, two production facilities in Hanoi as well as sales and marketing office in HCMC.
Over the last years, he has obtained a deep understanding about the business, political and bureaucratic environments in Vietnam whereas his current position provides an exclusive insight about the healthcare system advantages and challenges.
Torben is currently the Vice-Chairman of EuroCham Vietnam and is actively involved in the Vietnamese healthcare community as the Vice-Chairman of the EuroCham Medical Device and Diagnostics Sector Committee, representing international member companies that account for more than 80% of the Vietnamese medical device market.
For 4 years, Torben has been an active Board member of the German Business Association representing German viewpoints and interests. Further to that, he is in the Board of EuroCham promoting and advocating German, GBA and European interests. -
Ms. Pham Thanh HaoVice President of the University Council and Chief of Staff, VinUniversityPham Thanh Hao is Vice President of the University Council and Chief of Staff at VinUniversity. Having joined the University during its formative years, she has played a key role in shaping its strategy, governance, and organizational development, helping build the institutional foundations for VinUniversity’s aspiration to become a globally recognized, research-intensive university.
She leads the Transformation Management Office and oversees key university functions spanning governance, strategy, operations, finance, talent, technology, marketing, legal affairs, and compliance.
Before joining VinUniversity, Hao held leadership roles across the technology, consulting, and private sectors, bringing extensive experience in organizational transformation, talent strategy, and leadership development.Hao holds a Master of Commerce in Integrated Human Resource Management from Swinburne University of Technology, Australia, and is a SHRM Certified Professional. She is currently pursuing a Master of Education in Higher Education Leadership at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Her work focuses on strengthening university governance, developing leadership capacity, and harnessing artificial intelligence to advance institutional excellence. She is committed to helping universities become globally competitive institutions that advance knowledge, develop future leaders, and create lasting societal impact. -
Ms. Le Tran Ngoc DoanHuman Resources Director, Bosch Global Software TechnologiesDoan Le is the Human Resources Director at Bosch Global Software Technologies Vietnam (BGSV), with nearly two decades of experience shaping people strategy, talent development, and organizational transformation across leading multinational organizations, including Bosch, A.P. Moller-Maersk, Sanofi, Saint-Gobain, and British American Tobacco. Throughout her career, she has led HR agendas across diverse industries spanning technology, logistics, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, and FMCG, partnering with senior business leaders to drive growth, organizational effectiveness, and workforce competitiveness.
As a recognized HR leader with expertise in leadership development, talent management, organizational design, culture transformation, and future workforce planning, Doan has built and scaled talent strategies that strengthen leadership pipelines, accelerate capability development, and enable organizations to navigate changes in increasingly complex and global business environment. Her work focuses on aligning people and business strategy to create agile, high-performing organizations equipped for long-term success.

Ms. Kathy NguyenEnterprise Sales Director, Amazon Web Services VietnamKathy Nguyen is an Enterprise Sales Director at Amazon Web Services (AWS) Vietnam, leading strategic accounts in Energy Oil & Gas Industry. Kathy holds an MBA with Distinction from the University of Roehampton (UK) and a BA in Economics from the University of Pune (India), a BA in Indology from the University of Social Science & Humanities HCMC. Dr. Nguyen Thu GiangFaculty at the College of Business and Management, VinUniversityDr. Nguyen Thu Giang holds a Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management and an MSc in International Management from the University of the West of England (UWE), UK, and a BBA from Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU), Japan.
Before joining VinUni, she was a Lecturer at UWE, teaching Operations and Supply Management, Strategic Management, Research Methods, and Project Management. She also held several leadership roles at UWE, including President of the Students’ Union, representing over 30,000 students and contributing to the University’s governance and strategic development.
Her research focuses on Technology and Innovation Adoption, Digital Transformation, and Circular Economy in Supply Chain Management. As a Lecturer in Operations Management at CBM, she is dedicated to delivering high-quality education and supporting student success. -
Ms. Tran Thi Lan HuongCountry Medical Director, Bayer Pharma VietnamHuong Tran, MBA, MD is the Country Medical Director at Bayer Pharma Vietnam and a member of the Bayer Pharma Vietnam Leadership Team and Bayer APAC CMO Leadership Team.
