Southeastern Vietnam Chapter introduced to the People's Committee of Dong Nai province

EuroCham introduced its recently created Southeastern Vietnam Chapter to the Dong Nai People's Committee in a meeting that took place on 15 January 2018 in Bien Hoa.

The meeting gathered a EuroCham delegation and representatives from relevant investment authorities and industrial zones of Dong Nai. Vice Chairman Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hung chaired this meeting and welcomed EuroCham’s interest in Dong Nai, having asked the Chamber for continuous support in calling for more investment to the province, as well as its promotion abroad.

The EuroCham delegation was led by Executive Committee Member Mr. Joshua James, who mentioned the efforts employed by EuroCham in being closer to the province with the creation of the EuroCham Southeastern Vietnam Chapter. Mr. James also introduced and delivered the EuroCham Whitebook 2017 to the the province's leader. The meeting included contributions regarding future coopeartion between EuroCham and the Dong Nai People's Committee, building on the experience of some EuroCham members in working in and with the province.

This message was also enriched by the addtional input of EuroCham Executive Committee member Mr. Christoph Schill, as well as EuroCham Southeastern Vietnam Delegates Mr. Alexander Goetz (Fischer Asia) and Ms. Uyen Tran (Deloitte). This EuroCham delegation included also the Chairman of the Dutch Business Association Vietnam Mr. Pavel Poskakukhin, Deputy Director Mr. Joaquim Torrinha and member representative Ms. Truc Vu from Deloitte.

The meeting served to initiate a closer cooperation with the province of Dong Nai, in view of bringing about more joint action between the local authorities and EuroCham. This cooperation is expected to equip EuroCham and its Southeastern Vietnam Chapter with a better understanding of the dynamics in the province, which may ultimately improve the Chamber's ability to support locally-based members. The focus will be on events and information exchange.

EuroCham is grateful to the Dong Nai authorities for having welcomed its delegation and hosted such a fruitful dialogue, certain that it will result in further joint action starting  in 2018.
