On 25 September, the Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC), in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, organised the City Government–Business Dialogue Conference on Healthcare.
The conference aimed to provide updates on new policies, guidelines, and legal regulations in the healthcare sector relevant to business operations. It also provided an opportunity for regulatory authorities to engage directly with businesses, offer guidance, and address challenges arising from the implementation of policies, regulations, and administrative procedures.
Representing EuroCham, leaders from our Pharma Group (PG) shared regulatory questions and recommendations from businesses in the healthcare industry.
Responding to business insights, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoai Nam, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, highly appreciated EuroCham’s and Pharma Group’s contributions to the development of Vietnam’s healthcare sector, particularly in bringing advanced medical technologies closer to the Vietnamese population. He also encouraged EuroCham’s Pharma Group to consider establishing its headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City, reaffirming the city’s pioneering and central role in advancing healthcare development.
Mr. Le Anh Hoang, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City ITPC, affirmed that Pharma Group’s proposals were well aligned with the development orientations of Ho Chi Minh City. He further shared that the city is currently developing five specialised healthcare clusters, which are expected to become operational soon.
For more in-depth discussions on the proposals, ITPC expressed its interest in meeting with EuroCham again at a dedicated technical meeting to further exchange views and explore potential areas for cooperation. EuroCham will continue to facilitate constructive dialogue between our members and relevant authorities, helping bring practical business perspectives into discussions on the city’s healthcare development.
