BASF Vietnam, in collaboration with the social enterprise Think Playgrounds and Binh Tan District Youth Union, inaugurated the seventh public playground as a summer gift to over 18,000 children in Binh Tan district, an hour drive from the center of Ho Chi Minh City. The facility will provide a safe, vibrant space for creative play as well as interactive activities helping develop various skills while learning about nature and resource conservation. Located within the Sports and Culture Center of Tan Tao Ward, where half of the population are immigrant workers, the playground will help the local children access recreational facilities outside their class hours.
Featuring environment-friendly materials such as Eucalyptus wood from responsible sources, old tyres and panels made from plastic waste, the playground will also foster a connection between children and nature while instilling the importance of reusing and recycling waste. All the facilities are installed and decorated by volunteers from BASF and the local youth union.
