Bosch and Ricons signed a memorandum of understanding: Cooperation in construction and real estate development

Ho Chi Minh city, January 09, 2018 – Bosch, the leading global supplier of technology and services and Ricons, a member of Coteccons Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a comprehensive cooperation in the fields of construction and real estate development. This strategic partnership will pave the way for Ricons and Bosch in Vietnam to enhance the safety, security and efficiency not only for construction projects and buildings across Vietnam but more importantly for the people as well.

The MoU covers three key areas of cooperation in which Bosch will supply hardware, software, and services of high quality standards, leveraging its strength in Automotive Aftermarket, Drive and Control Technology, Packaging Technology, Power Tools, Security Systems, and Thermotechnology. Guru Mallikarjuna, managing director of Bosch Vietnam said: “With the versatile portfolio, international network and local presence, Bosch can offer partners customized products and solutions to improve efficiency. This is the basis on which we are confident to enter this new partnership with Ricons, one of the top construction companies in Vietnam.”

With the aspire of sustaining high quality for projects as well as achieving productivity for every equipment used in construction progress, Ricons is continually looking for reputable and professional partners in order to supply to the market high classed real estate projects at the highest benefit for developers and residents. With more than ten years of experience, Ricons now operates about 100 construction projects nationwide, ranging from industrial factories, shopping malls, residential complex, schools, hospitals, office towers, etc.

In the initial area of cooperation, Bosch will provide Ricons with professional power tools, accessories and spare parts, as well as a full package of services, including product consultation, technical training, health and safety training, product maintenance, etc. As tools are designed with specific functionalities which require proper usage, training is critical to ensure the labor safety for people involved at construction sites, including over 700 experts, engineers, technicians of Ricons as well as thousands of labors from sub-contractors. For the maintenance of products, Bosch and Ricons are considering to set up booths or small shops at major construction sites to give workers direct and instant support when in needs of frequently-used accessories, spare parts or quick fix. Both companies are also considering to co-develop a smart scheme to monitor and manage the full circle of tool usage, using Bosch software and sensor technology, and by that helping Ricons improve project efficiency, reduce waste and maximize utilization of products and resources.

Furthermore, Bosch will offer Ricons products and solutions for security, safety and communications which help protect people’s lives, assets, and keep buildings safe. These range from video surveillance, intrusion and fire detection to voice evacuation systems as well as access control and management systems. Guru Mallikarjuna added that “Bosch can work with Ricons to develop integrated and connected solutions for Smart City and Smart Campus, as well as provide E-scooter system solutions and other IoT-based solutions in the longer terms.”
