Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday, 26 March, was a convergence of celebration, insight, and strategic alignment. As we reflected on the successes of the past year, we recognized the collective strength and dedication of our community, including the critical contributions of the EuroCham-affiliated European Business Associations and 20 Sector Committees.
Members played a vital role in the evening’s proceedings, voting on and approving key governance documents such as the 2023 AGM minutes, financial statements, the 2024 budget, and the appointment of our auditor. This process underscored the member-driven approach at the heart of our operations.
The highlight of the evening was the unveiling of our 2024 roadmap, promising to be one of our most dynamic years yet. Our strategic emphasis will be on creating opportunities and strengthening the Europe-Vietnam partnership through intensified advocacy efforts, leveraging the expertise of our 20 Sector Committees and our Sustainable Coordination Group. Regular dialogues with decision-makers, professional problem-solving, and effective communication of our advocacy successes will drive these efforts.
To amplify our impact, we plan to strengthen strategic media relations and maintain a vibrant presence across social media platforms. This dual approach aims to disseminate our advocacy messages widely and resonate with a broad audience. Our advocacy and communication strategies will be further bolstered by data-driven insights, particularly those gleaned from our quarterly Business Confidence Index (BCI), ensuring a fact-based approach rooted in the current business landscape.
Expanding our reach beyond Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi is another priority, with our Central Vietnam Chapter playing a key role, alongside plans to organize at least three field trips to provinces, helping members explore new business opportunities.
On top of that, we will continue to reinforce our commitment to sustainability and green leadership through our Green Economy Forum & Exhibition (GEFE) 2024. Additionally, we plan to host events focused on EU regulations, aiding our members and the Vietnamese business community in navigating and implementing the European Green Deal.
For our AGM, we also put together a quick video highlighting some of the key moments and achievements from EuroCham over the past year. It overviews our advocacy, events, initiatives and more from the past year. Click here to watch.
None of our accomplishments in 2024 would have been achievable without the incredible support of our members. We sincerely thank all of you for joining us in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, and for making this event productive, successful, and efficient.
