On August 19, a handover ceremony was organized for the delivery of 1,000 units of 20-foot dry containers to CMA CGM Group from Hoa Phat. The handover significantly strengthens CMA CGM Vietnam’s strategic position. Ms. Amelie Humphreys, General Manager CMA CGM Vietnam, emphasized the partnership’s crucial role in enhancing regional supply chain efficiency amidst rising Southeast Asian cargo volumes. This local sourcing initiative directly addresses the need for a more agile logistics network, allowing CMA CGM to reduce turnaround times, improve equipment availability, and optimize operational costs. Constructed from SPA-H grade hot-rolled steel from Hoa Phat Dung Quat, the containers embody a commitment to quality and durability. Rigorous quality control, implemented through CMA CGM’s technical team, independent supervisors, and specialized inspection bodies, ensured adherence to the highest standards throughout the manufacturing process. This collaboration marks a pivotal step towards a more responsive and cost-effective supply chain solution in the region.
