HCMC, Vietnam – July 1, 2024: BASF Vietnam has relocated its head office to Deutsches Haus Ho Chi Minh City. This move aligns with BASF’s commitment to the Future of Work (FOW) approach, sustainability, and innovation while prioritizing employee well-being.
A new chapter with ‘Future of Work’ in a sustainable and collaborative workspace
Introduced globally in 2020, BASF’s FOW approach enables collaborative and flexible work arrangements. dynamic setting facilitates open communication and effective teamwork while enhancing safety and productivity.

The office features modern elements, including ergonomic designs, dynamic desk-sharing, natural lighting, ventilation, and indoor air quality and noise level monitoring. Open workspaces such as collaboration areas, phone booths, quiet rooms, and a work café are specially tailored to support flexible and inspiring work arrangements, fostering creativity and teamwork among employees.

Deutsches Haus, the first sustainable office building in Vietnam, has achieved dual LEED* Platinum certifications for Operation and Maintenance (O+M) and Building Design and Construction (BD+C). This underlines the building’s commitment to green principles, fostering productivity, wellness, and minimal environmental impact.
As a global chemical company headquartered in Germany, BASF sees Deutsches Haus as a prime location to connect with like-minded partners, exchange business opportunities, and drive the sustainability agenda in Vietnam.
By moving to a LEED Platinum building and designing the office to meet LEED standards, BASF demonstrates its leadership and commitment to sustainability. A range of sustainable products are used in the office including fire protection and sound absorption panels made from BASF’s resin foam Basotect®, low odor and low volatile organic compounds (VOC) paints with BASF’s Acronal® dispersion, and non-phthalate plasticizer Hexamoll® DINCH for carpets.
Furthermore, BASF continues to strengthen ‘green’ habits among employees through waste segregation, single-use plastics restriction, and digitalization to minimize paper consumption.
