The European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham) is delighted to announce Delphine Rousselet as its new Executive Director. Joining the chamber on Monday 5 July, Delphine brings with her 15 years of experience in international trade in Vietnam and Europe. Her appointment follows a competitive hiring process overseen by Adecco, one of the leading recruitment, payroll, and outsourcing agencies in Vietnam.
Before joining EuroCham, Delphine was the Founder and CEO of World-Asia Connection where she helped companies from around the globe to connect with the Asian market. Before that, for five years she was the Managing Director of the EU-Vietnam Business Network (EVBN), a major EU-funded project supporting European companies to enter, grow, and thrive in Vietnam.
Delphine joins the chamber at a critical time. With Vietnam in the midst of a fourth wave outbreak of COVID-19 and with lockdowns, quarantine, and travel restrictions still in force, European businesses face significant barriers to maintaining their normal commercial operations. Meanwhile, now that the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) has been implemented, the challenge is to unlock the full benefits of this agreement in the middle of a global pandemic.
Commenting on her appointment, Delphine Rousselet said:
“I am delighted to be joining EuroCham as Executive Director. I have lived and worked in Vietnam since 2012, so I know that there are huge opportunities for European business here and I am excited to help our members realize their full potential in this fast-growing market.
“However, the immediate task at hand is to help European business to continue operating as much as possible during COVID-19. I will work with the EuroCham board and team to support our members and advocate for policies which will make a real difference during these challenging times.
“In that spirit, I look forward to working with all of EuroCham’s 18 Sector Committees, nine affiliated business associations, one thousand members, and three regional chapters. Together, I am confident that we can weather this storm and emerge with strong businesses and an even stronger business community.”
EuroCham Chairman Alain Cany added:
“On behalf of the EuroCham board, I am pleased to welcome Delphine as our new Executive Director. Her experience and expertise will be a real asset to our chamber and its membership, particularly as we deal with new waves of the pandemic. I am confident that EuroCham will continue to grow under her leadership and I am sure I speak for all our members when I wish her every success.
“I would also like to thank our outgoing Executive Director, Oliver Regner, for his dedication over the last two years, and I wish him all the best in his new role.”
Delphine and Oliver are closely working together so that the management transition will be accomplished in the upcoming week.
