On 8 to 9 March, EuroCham Board Member Stuart Livesey participated in a conference titled “Quang Ninh Convergence and Spread” in Ha Long City. Organized by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the People’s Committee of Quang Ninh Province, discussions centered on the province’s socio-economic development situation, strengths, and its investment environment. The conference also explored the investment trends of European businesses in Vietnam.
Among the speakers were the Chairman of VCCI Pham Tan Cong and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Quang Ninh Province Cao Tuong Huy. The conference also welcomed EU Ambassador to Vietnam Julien Guerrier and other members of the diplomatic corps.
Highlighting the success stories of businesses already invested in Quang Ninh, leaders of these enterprises pointed out the province’s potential as an investment destination, providing valuable perspectives on the business environment and investment climate. To mark the occasion, a private meeting facilitated bilateral discussions among Quang Ninh Province Chairman Cao Tuong Huy, representatives of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Industrial Park Authority (IPA), international partners, and businesses.
The event concluded with a Gala Dinner celebrating collaboration and friendship. Participants also enjoyed site visits to industrial parks and a leisurely cruise tour of Ha Long Bay.
