On 21 August 2025, the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC) and the Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC) co-organised the Legal Management Series 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City – Cooperation in Investing & Operating Energy Projects: Developments, Current Trends & Solutions for Enterprises.
The event welcomed speakers and participants from leading law firms, businesses, and academia in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
GGSC Vice-Chair and Co-Chairs of the Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency working group, Mr. Phat Nguyen, was part of the panel discussion on Joint venture in investing and operating energy projects. The discussion focused on 3 main pillars:
- Joint venture in the energy sector: International perspectives and practices in Vietnam.
- Features of joint venture transaction and criteria for energy projects.
- Allocation of benefits, risks and disputes arising from joint venture transactions in the energy sector.
As streamlining the legal framework for renewable energy projects is an advocacy priority for EuroCham’s GGSC, we are committed to work with both the government and the business community to accelerate Vietnam’s green transition.
