EuroCham Emphasised Green Development in Driving Hue’s Urban Future

On 19 September, the Tuoi Tre Newspaper and the Vietnam Packaging Recycling Alliance (PRO Vietnam), in coordination with the People’s Committee of Hue City, organised a seminar on “Green Transition and Industrial Investment Attraction Strategy in Hue City”. An important activity within the framework of the Green Vietnam project, the seminar served as a platform to showcase Hue’s progress in green development and its ambition to become a model city where heritage conservation goes hand in hand with sustainable economic growth.

With a focus on attracting modern, eco-friendly investment, the event brought together policymakers, business leaders, and development experts to exchange ideas and propose actionable strategies.

Representing EuroCham Vietnam, Mr. Thang Nguyen, Co-Vice Chair of the Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency Working Group of the Green Growth Sector Committee (GGSC), joined panel discussions with city officials and businesses. Drawing from his expertise in sustainability, Mr. Thang emphasised the vital role of green development in driving Hue’s industrial transformation toward a sustainable urban future. The seminar fostered collaboration among stakeholders, setting a clear path toward balanced growth that honours both heritage and innovation.
