On Thursday, 20 February, EuroCham Vietnam had the pleasure of welcoming Mr. Jean-Alexandre EGEA, Head of the Economy Service at the French Embassy in Vietnam, for a productive exchange on key business and trade developments.
Representing EuroCham Vietnam, Ms. Pauline Dutertre (Head of Marketing and Communications cum GEFE Project Manager), Mr. Benoit Tardy (Business Advisor, Intellectual Property Business Advisor for the South-East Asia IP SME Helpdesk Project), and Ms. Diep Truong (Advocacy Manager) engaged in discussions that reinforced the strong cooperation between EuroCham and the French Embassy.
The meeting, held at EuroCham’s office in Ho Chi Minh City, provided an opportunity to share EuroCham’s dynamic activities and explore Vietnam’s evolving business landscape. Key topics included the EU–Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA), the impactful work of EuroCham’s sector committees, and the chamber’s advocacy efforts in shaping Vietnam’s regulatory environment.
Additionally, the conversation addressed intellectual property rights (IPR) developments, highlighting EuroCham’s ongoing role in supporting European businesses in Vietnam. Insights from the Q4 2024 Business Confidence Index (BCI) were also shared, offering an encouraging outlook on the country’s economic trajectory.
Through continued collaboration with the French Embassy in Vietnam, EuroCham remains committed to strengthening trade and investment ties between Europe and Vietnam, ensuring a thriving and sustainable business environment for European enterprises.
