EuroCham participates in an inaugural meeting of Government Taskforce on Administrative Reforms (APR)

On  8 September, EuroCham representatives attended the inaugural meeting of the Government taskforce on Administrative Procedure Reform (APR). The event, organized at the Headquarter of the Vietnam Government Office, brought together government officials and industry leaders to deliberate on key administrative reforms.

Chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang, Head of the APR Taskforce, the meeting convened leaders across ministries, agencies and advisory councils. It aimed to review progress on administrative reforms and map out key priorities moving forward.

Mr. Minh Nguyen, EuroCham Vice Chairman and Ms. Nguyen Cam Van, Head of Hanoi Office cum External Relations were present on behalf of EuroCham and joined an esteemed group of high-ranking officials including the 15-member APR taskforce group of government representatives and leaders from various ministries and ministerial-level agencies.

Major outcomes included:

• Approval of decisions to establish the Prime Minister’s APR Taskforce and member list.
• Promulgation of the Taskforce Group’s operational regulations, underscoring its role to direct urgent reforms through year-end 2023.
• Emphasis on binding mechanisms between officials and enterprises, and empowering officials to accompany business needs.
• Call to review and streamline administrative procedures, enable decentralization, and create favorable business conditions.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang concluded the meeting by urging all stakeholders, including ministries, agencies, and local authorities, to diligently carry out their assigned tasks. He highlighted the significance of reducing administrative procedures and  simplifying processes to further create favorable conditions for businesses and people.
