EuroCham participates in the 2023 WCO Technology Conference & Exhibition in Hanoi

From 10-12 October, 2023 EuroCham Vietnam attended the 2023 World Customs Organization (WCO) Technology Conference & Exhibition held at the National Convention Center in Hanoi. The event, a testament to the power of technology and innovation in customs and international trade, featured high-profile guests, including Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and carried a significant theme, “Embracing the Digital Age: Leveraging Technology, Fostering Innovation, and Nurturing the Next Generation of Customs Professionals”

 

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh took the occasion to outline key priorities for national digital transformation. These priorities, encompassing the enhancement of digital infrastructure and the digital workforce, set the tone for a future where technology plays a central role in Vietnam’s development.

 

Among the distinguished attendees were representatives from EuroCham Legal Sector Committee, Mr. Antoine Logeay and Ms. Pallard Betty. Their presence highlighted the commitment of EuroCham to fostering partnerships and engagement in crucial discussions related to technology and trade.

 

 

 

For Vietnam, this event symbolizes its resolute commitment to digital transformation and modern technology adoption. Vietnam’s aspirations align with the principles of e-government and digital government, as articulated in the Government’s decisions. In a global context, hosting a conference on emerging technology, with a special focus on digital transformation, artificial intelligence, blockchain, machine learning, and the internet of things, reflects Vietnam’s commitment to technology diplomacy and a readiness to embrace international expertise and support.
