On 17th and 18th August, 2016, a EuroCham Delegation led by Chairman Michael Behrens went on its first official visit to Central Vietnam with the aim to reach out to existing and potential new members and to strengthen relations with local authorities. The idea for this fact-finding mission was both driven by EuroCham’s Board as well as bottom-up by members in the Central region actively asking for EuroCham stronger presence.
Over the course of the 2 days, EuroCham visited 15 European companies active in the fields of Tourism/Hospitality, Real Estate, Consulting, Education and Software/IT Solutions. The networking event hosted at the Meliã Da Nang was attended more than 2 dozen guests. The evening provided a great opportunity to meet other European investors and to exchange experiences on establishing and running businesses in this dynamic region. Michael Behrens gave an overview of EuroCham’s activities and initiated a discussion on what kind of events and support members located in Central Vietnam would like EuroCham to develop.
