EuroCham’s Field Trip to Da Nang – Potentials Unveiled from The Great Merge of Da Nang & Quang Nam 

On 12 May 2025, EuroCham organised a high-level field trip to Da Nang, welcoming over 35 corporate representatives for a full day of dialogue, insights, and connections. The event marked EuroCham’s effort in extending our presence in Central Vietnam.  

High-level Dialogue with the Da Nang People’s Committee: Growing Investment Landscape 

EuroCham delegation engaged in a high-level dialogue with representatives from Da Nang’s authorities, including:

  • Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi – Vice-Chairwoman, Da Nang People’s Committee; 
  • Ms. Huynh Lien Phuong – Deputy Chief of Office, Da Nang People’s Committee | Director, Danang Investment Promotion Agency (IPA); 
  • Management Board of Da Nang Hi-Tech Park and Industrial Zones; and 
  • Deputy Directors from departments of Culture, Sports & Tourism; Foreign Affairs; Agriculture & Environment; Finance; Science & Technology; Industry & Trade; and Construction 

The dialogue brought constructive insights about the city’s investment landscape, its growing appeal to foreign investors, and the opportunities emerging from the potential administrative merger with Quang Nam province

Panel Discussion: Exciting Opportunities across Sectors 

Following the government dialogue, Mr. Mario Mendis – EuroCham’s Chief Delegate in Central Vietnam moderated an insightful panel discussion. Our panellists shared the latest strategic developments in the region:  

  • Mr. Bruno Jaspaert – Chairman, EuroCham | CEO, Deep C Industrial Zones – Spoke on port infrastructure and the logistics transformation driven by the Lien Chieu Port Project.  
  • Ms. Stella Anna Sevegran – Vice-Chairwoman, NordCham | CEO, Xenia Tech – Shared insights on Danang’s emergence as a Tech City and its digital innovation ecosystem.  
  • Mr. André Pierre Gentzsch – Central Vietnam Representative, GBA | GM, Furama–Ariyana Danang – Highlighted MICE growth, hospitality trends, and tourism implications of the regional merge.  
  • Mr. Piotr Frieske – Central Vietnam Representative, CEEC | MD, CVR – Provided an outlook on the real estate market, foreign investor interest, and market dynamics 

The day concluded with a lively networking session, allowing participants to connect, exchange ideas, and build new partnerships in the Central Vietnam region.
