EuroCham’s mission to Da Nang, held on Wednesday, 13 December, strengthened connections with and between our members in Central Vietnam, raised the European business community’s voices to local authorities, and highlighted Da Nang’s investment potential. The event was also a great opportunity to promote our Central Vietnam chapter, which was relaunched in the summer of 2023.
An estimated 30 people were involved in the delegation, and was led by key figures from EuroCham and the EU Delegation including:
The trip included visits to major businesses in Da Nang such as Heineken, Ubisoft, and the Long Hau IT Park. These tours provided the delegation with a chance to see the city’s industrial diversity, and a glimpse into some of the work our members do in Central Vietnam.
A key agenda item was a meeting with the Da Nang People’s Committee. At this meeting, the Da Nang authorities were represented by Permanent Deputy Chairman of Da Nang People’s Committee Ho Ky Minh and Director of the Da Nang Department of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Xuan Binh. Discussions focused on Da Nang’s strengths in high-tech and tourism sectors and how these could be leveraged for future development.
The trip concluded with a networking event at Ciela Skybar & Dining, aimed at fostering future collaborations and investments in Central Vietnam.
The success of the mission was attributed to the collective efforts of our Central Vietnam Chapter, the EU Delegation, and EuroCham members. Their contributions were crucial in reinforcing EuroCham’s initiatives in Vietnam and setting the stage for future growth in the region.
