[Simultaneous English – Vietnamese interpretation available]
Vietnam’s ongoing efforts to enhance local manufacturing and to reduce reliance of external suppliers are driving new opportunities for economic growth. However, the ambition to participate more deeply in global supply chains requires strong commitments to meet ESG standards of new markets and foreign buyers.
While businesses in Vietnam are feeling the pressure to adopt ESG practices, those who get it right are expected to gain access to foreign buyers, develop stronger reputations, and achieving sustainable growth.
This exclusive event, co-organised by EuroCham Vietnam, Control Union Vietnam, DHL Express Vietnam & UOB Vietnam, brings together practical voices from the EU business, finance, certification and logistic sectors, to help business leaders understand sustainability requirements and to take actions. Whether you are planning to export to Europe, selling to MNC buyers in Vietnam, or interested to embark on your sustainability journey, this session is tailored for decision makers like you.
Expect candid conversations, useful examples, and a clear picture of what it takes to compete in today’s sustainability-driven landscape.
Key talking points to be covered:
• From exporting goods to meeting sustainability standards: How can I leverage on free trade agreements such as EVFTA? What are the key sustainability requirements from EU buyers? How can companies adapt to meet requirements?
• From cost of compliance to unlocking green finance: How can businesses leverage on green finance to signal ESG commitments and to fund your investments?
• From traditional supply chains to transparent and low carbon footprint: How can certification standards, real-time emissions data enable sustainable trade flows?
• From local readiness to global market fit: What does strategic readiness look like for businesses seeking to enter sustainability-regulated markets?
