GEFE 2024 Student Business Challenge – Singapore Study Trip Recap

The 3 winning teams of the GEFE 2024 Student Business Challenge embarked on a week-long study trip to Singapore: a final reward for their outstanding performance during the competition.

Over 5 days, students engaged with leading organisations and experts shaping Asia’s sustainability landscape:

  • ASEAN Humanitarian Response Workshop with HELP Logistics – learning how climate change impacts disaster preparedness, and experiencing the complexity of humanitarian supply chains through an immersive simulation game.
  • Sustainable Finance & Green Logistics sessions with ING Singapore – understanding the role of finance in decarbonising hard-to-abate sectors such as shipping and aviation.
  • Singapore Sustainability Tours – showcasing integrated urban management and climate adaptation strategies.
  • EDP Renewables APAC Headquarters & Solar Site Visit – exploring renewable energy operations in Singapore and across Asia, with insights into market strategy, regulatory context, and innovative land use for solar projects.

EuroCham Vietnam would like to first thank the Kühne Logistics University for co-organising this event with us. Our additional thanks go to Help Logistics, ING Singapore, EuroCham Singapore, EDP Renewables APAC, Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC), Mainstream Renewable Power, Vestas, and Siemens Gamesa BLE Energy for their strong support in making this trip a success!
