Industry Summit 4.0 in Hanoi: A Vision for Accelerated Industrialization and Sustainable Transformation”

On June 14, the Central Economic Committee organized Industry Summit 4.0 in Hanoi, Vietnam. The plenary session, chaired by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, was attended by Vice Chair Minh Nguyen and Head of EuroCham’s Hanoi Office cum External Relations Manager Van Nguyen. The summit revolved around a central theme: “Promoting digital transformation and green transition to create breakthroughs, shortening the industrialization and modernization process by 2030 with a vision towards 2045.”

 

Prime Minister Chinh, in his address, underscored the imperative of cultivating a renewed mindset and elevating the quality of national governance. Such measures, he emphasized, were crucial in establishing an environment conducive to accelerated industrialization and modernization. 

 

Furthermore, the period between 2031 and 2045 was identified as a crucial time frame to enhance the quality of industrialization and achieve comprehensive modernization across all sectors of the economy and social aspects. The effective implementation of the “National Digital Transformation Program” and the “National Strategy for Green Growth for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050,” was also highlighted as a priority in the near future.

 

Prime Minister Chinh reiterated the Vietnamese government’s commitment towards refining institutional frameworks, fostering entrepreneurial endeavors, and nurturing innovation in alignment with market mechanisms and international best practices. Additionally, there was an emphasis on the necessity of making significant progress in building strategic infrastructure systems, particularly those that would provide momentum for national industrialization and modernization.

 

In addition, the Vietnamese government expressed its dedication to active collaboration with other countries and international organizations, fostering an atmosphere of cooperation and shared progress. This collective effort is aimed at accelerating an industrial revolution, ultimately seeking to extend the benefits of peace and prosperity to nations across the globe.

 

The Industry Summit 4.0 served as a platform for high-level discussions, where the Vietnamese government and industry leaders outlined a comprehensive vision for the future of the country’s industrial and economic landscape. With a focus on digital transformation and sustainable practices, Vietnam aims to expedite its industrialization and modernization processes, ultimately fostering economic growth and development.
