Mercedes-Benz Fascination 2018 – “Drive the Life”

Hanoi – The annual motor show Mercedes-Benz Fascination took place for the 8th time in Hanoi capital from 19th to 23rd July 2018, under the theme of “Drive the Life”. The event displayed up to 21 key product variants of the “Three-pointed Star” and other attracting performances. Especially, the brand also introduced the enhanced E 200 & E 250 with new features without increasing the price, gaining much attention from visitors.

Mercedes-Benz – More than a car

Under the theme “Drive the Life”, the event portrayed important stages of life with the Mercedes-Benz “companion”. Key product pillars including Compacts, SUV, Luxury and Ultra-Luxury were designed to reach their target customers and support them in achieving their life vision and targets. With this concept, the center stage was divided to multi levels with different areas changing background with each performance. A large-sized catwalk stage was designed for a lively setting of the story. Each variant was introduced with a fashion collection from designer Adrian Anh Tuan.

There were 36 vehicles at the event including 21 displayed inside and 15 for test-drive outside. Besides the areas of Sedans, SUVs, Compact cars and Ultra Luxury Vehicles, “She’s Mercedes” area, VIP lounge, Corporate Solutions area, Kids’ corner and Interactive digital area were also available. The wide-view capture camera helped visitor to save the moment with all motion. Visitors could also create their own picture at the Graffity wall with available drawing setup.

Deliver values to customers as promised

Closing the first half of 2018, MBV achieved the growth of 6% with considerable contribution of the C-Class and GLC. The E-Class also achieved 35% growth with more than 550 units delivered. The S-Class which launched in June 2018 but also achieved the same sales level of the first half of 2017. These achievements were the result of investing in 4 key CKD products and developing the outlet network both in quality and coverage.

MBV also delivered more values to customers in 2018 as promised, including: Increasing the warranty period to 3-years with unlimited mileage; Adding new conveniences for the C-Class as customer expectation without increasing the price (Burmester® surround speakers for the C 200 and Camera 360 for the C 250); Adding new features for the E-Class without increasing the price; Launching the GLC 200 which is approachable for many customers; Financial support for key products and many after-sales promotion campaigns.

New valuable features for the C-Class and the E-Class

In Vietnam, the C-Class has been the best-selling sedan winning customers’ heart. In the first 6 months, there were more than 700 C-Class units delivered to Vietnamese customers, equivalent to 120 cars per month on average. Since the end of 2017 till now, MBV has continuously provided valuable options for the C-Class in order to enhance customer experience, such as the 9G-TRONIC transmission (on 3 variants), Burmester® surround speakers (on the C 200), Camera 360 (on the C 250) and sporty 19-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels (on the C 300 AMG). The C-Class has owned the most attractive options at reasonable pricing in its segment, making it more approachable for customers from mass segments to own a Mercedes-Benz.

The all-new E-Class (W213) also reach 1.000 units per year milestone in 2017. After more than 18 months from the launch, MBV now upgrades valuable features for 2 variants E 200 & E 250 without increasing the price. The E 200 will have new 17-inch rims with 10-spoke design in 2 colors and the open-pore light brown ash wood trim. The E 250 with have the open-pore black ash wood trim. Especially, both variant will get a 12.3 inch high-resolution media display screen and Vietnamese interface to enhance the convenience and interaction of passengers.

The GLC reach 5.000 units milestone in Vietnam

In the first half of 2018, more than 1,300 units of the GLC have been delivered in Vietnam, making the number of registered GLC in Vietnam to reach 5,000 units after its first launch only 2 years ago. This is also a net record of the whole premium segment. The GLC takes around 90% shares of its segment. Within 1 month from its launch, the GLC 200 has rapidly become the best-selling variant of the GLC. One third of customers picked the GLC 200 as the first car in their life. Out of two thirds of customers who chose the GLC 200 to be their next car, more than half were customers who shifted from mass brands. This proves the attraction of the GLC in general and the GLC 200 in particular, not only in premium segment but also in mass ones.

To support customers in approaching popular products, MBV releases 2 special offers in the 3rd Quarter of 2018, with 84-months loan term and credit-limit up to 80% value of the car. The first offer is for customers who purchase all Mercedes-Benz models (except for the GLC, S-Class and Mercedes-Maybach) at the interest rate of only 4.9% in the first year, or 7.5% in the first 2 years.
