On 12 August 2025, the Ministry of Health’s Department of Legal Affairs, in collaboration with the Drug Administration of Vietnam, convened a meeting to review the latest draft Decree on the management of cosmetics.
The meeting was chaired by Mr Đỗ Trung Hưng, Director General of the Department of Legal Affairs, and Mr Tạ Mạnh Hùng, Deputy Director General of the Drug Administration of Vietnam. It gathered representatives from MOH departments and agencies, other relevant ministries, industry associations, and enterprises, with additional participation online from provincial Departments of Health and national and local Institutes of Drug Quality Control.
Presenting the fourth draft of the Decree, Mr Hùng highlighted revisions covering conditions and responsibilities for cosmetic product notification entities, electronic labelling requirements, import and export procedures, and post-marketing surveillance of cosmetic products.
Mr Hưng invited feedback from associations and enterprises to ensure the Decree addresses regulatory needs while supporting a transparent, effective framework for Vietnam’s cosmetic sector.
