On 4 December 2024, EuroCham Vietnam presented an Honorary Award to Mr. Do Nhat Hoang, Director General of the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) Registration Management Department. The award was handed over by EuroCham Chairman Bruno Jaspaert, along with Vice-chairmen Torben Minko, Minh Nguyen, and Head of Hanoi Office cum External Relations Manager Van Nguyen, in recognition of Mr. Do Nhat Hoang’s pivotal role in advancing foreign direct investment (FDI) in Vietnam, particularly from European investors.
Mr. Hoang’s leadership has been instrumental in fostering a stable macroeconomic environment and improving Vietnam’s investment landscape. Under his guidance, the MPI Registration Management Department has implemented strategic reforms focusing on three critical pillars: institutional improvements, infrastructure upgrades, and workforce development. These efforts have strengthened Vietnam’s appeal to foreign investors while addressing key challenges like infrastructure bottlenecks, licensing processes, and energy supply.
This award underscores the shared commitment of Vietnam and EuroCham in advancing sustainable economic growth and fostering deeper EU-Vietnam partnerships.
