[Supported News] “Walk for Charity” – The Steps of Swiss Post Solutions Vietnam for Community Improvement

To celebrate the “Month of Labor”, Swiss Post Solutions Vietnam organized the final rounds of “Walk for Charity” program in both branches Ho Chi Minh and Can Tho in order to raise fund to improve the health of its employees and encourage the philanthropic spirit for disabled workers in District 12.

Swiss Post Solutions Vietnam is one of the leading BPO and IT service providers in Vietnam, creating job opportunities for more than 1,500 employees in Ho Chi Minh and Can Tho. Over the years, the company has created many job opportunities for disabled workers and enabled them to integrate and contribute more to society. More than that, to remark the 15th anniversary of Swiss Post Solutions Vietnam (2004-2019) as well as the “Month of Labor”, the company first implemented the program "Walking for Charity" in Ho Chi Minh and Can Tho branches. The notable purposes are to strengthen its employees’ health and to inspire them to give support for disabled workers in District 12.

Each step is a beat to empower disabled workers to fulfil their dreams
Launched at the beginning of May, this campaign was enthusiastically participated by more than 350 SPS employees in both offices. Within 7 days, each participant had to walk as much as they could before attending the final trail around Quang Trung Software City. The more distance they made, the more money they contributed to the fund. Although this is the first time, SPS Vietnam successfully raised the total amount of 20,000,000 VND, converted from more than 4,500 km distance that the participants achieved. The amount later was granted to 5 disabled workers who are living in District 12 so that they can complete their plans in their life.

Facilitating Corporate Social Responsibility
One of the top 50 Leading IT companies in Vietnam, Swiss Post Solutions does not only contribute tens of billions of tax to the local authorities but also actively engages in many programs to support and develop the surrounding area, i.e. donation for Tet Charity Event organized by Trade Union of District 12, Blood Donation, or Environmental Day in QTSC. Speaking at the closing ceremony of the event, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong – Chief People Officer, Head of Program Organization Board, said: "Providing support to disabled and unlucky workers in District 12 specifically and Ho Chi Minh City generally has been one of the community-oriented activities Swiss Post Solutions Vietnam is focusing in recent years. Above all, we hope to empower physically-impaired workers to fulfill their dreams and improve their daily life. The success of this event is a good sign and a stepping stone for us to scale up this program in the upcoming years. ”
