On Monday, 28 October 2024, EuroCham Vietnam was honoured to contribute to “Bridging the Gap: Business & Social Impact in Vietnam,” a thought-provoking forum co-organised by UNICEF and UNICEF NextGen Vietnam. The event brought together influential leaders, industry experts, and changemakers to exchange ideas on how businesses can foster sustainable development while creating meaningful social impact.
The concept of introducing a child-lens to sustainability frameworks like the EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (EUCSDDD) and ESG principles was especially inspiring. It added significant value to the work we do daily, reminding us that building green futures also means nurturing the next generation of leaders today.
Our Executive Director, Delphine Rousselet, participated in a dynamic panel alongside Daniël Stork, Consul General of the Netherlands in Ho Chi Minh City; Michel Bertsch, Managing Director of Geuther Vietnam; and moderator Hoang Pham, Chairperson of UNICEF NextGen. The discussion centred on practical ways businesses can align profitability with purpose, embedding social responsibility into operations to make a lasting impact.
At EuroCham, we firmly believe that fostering these open dialogues is critical to driving change. By embracing innovative solutions and working together, we can shape a more sustainable, inclusive future for Vietnam—one where people, businesses, and communities thrive.
