On 21 November 2024, EuroCham’s Women in Business Sector Committee hosted an inspiring roundtable on Gender Dynamics and Environmental Sustainability at the EuroCham office in Ho Chi Minh City. The session was led by Mrs. Mai Đoàn, Chief Operating Officer at Conservation Vietnam, and brought together EuroCham’s Women in Business board members and special guest, Ms. Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc, Miss Intercontinental 2022, Youth and Climate Ambassador.
The event fostered rich dialogue on the critical link between gender equality and sustainability. Ms. Bao Ngoc, fresh from COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, shared stories and insights from the global stage, shedding light on the need for inclusive approaches in tackling environmental challenges.
The roundtable highlighted a core belief: sustainability goes beyond environmental action to encompass systems that empower and include all voices, especially those of women. This discussion underscored EuroCham’s commitment to advancing gender inclusivity and sustainability, aiming to inspire meaningful change within Vietnam’s business community.
