EuroCham and Binh Dinh Province strengthen ties to boost European investment

EuroCham Vietnam held a productive meeting with representatives from Binh Dinh Province at the EuroCham Hanoi Office on 9 August. The meeting focused on fostering closer collaboration between European businesses and the province.

Binh Dinh, a coastal province in central Vietnam, is known for its beautiful beaches, cultural heritage sites, and growing industrial sector. It is emerging as a key player in Vietnam’s economic development, with a focus on manufacturing, tourism, and renewable energy. The province’s strategic location, coupled with its abundant natural resources and skilled workforce, presents significant investment opportunities for European businesses.

Binh Dinh Province was represented by:

  • The Director General of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DOFA) Nguyen Thai Binh
  • The Deputy Director General of the Department of Tourism Nguyen Thi Kim Chung
  • The Director of Promotion Investment Center under Department of Planning & Investment (DPI) Nguyen Bay
  • Specialist of International Cooperation Department, DOFA Nguyen Duc Hoang

  • Van Nguyen, Head of our Hanoi Office cum External Relations Manager. 

Meeting Highlights:

  • Introduction to Binh Dinh Province: Mr. Nguyen Thai Binh provided a comprehensive overview of Binh Dinh Province, presenting general statistics, economic indicators, and development orientations. He emphasised the reasons why European investors should consider investing in Binh Dinh, highlighting its strategic location, abundant natural resources, and skilled workforce.
  • Current Cooperation: EuroCham Vice-Chairman Minh Nguyen introduced EuroCham and  highlighted our upcoming events, with a particular focus on the Green Economy Forum and Exhibition (GEFE) 2024. Discussions highlighted existing collaborations between European businesses and the province, showcasing success stories and areas for further growth.
  • Proposed Collaborations with EuroCham: Both parties explored avenues for deeper engagement, including potential trade missions, investment forums, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

EuroCham Vietnam and Binh Dinh Province are committed to working together to promote sustainable development and economic growth. Future initiatives will focus on facilitating investment, enhancing trade relations, and creating a favourable business environment for European companies operating in Binh Dinh.
