A few days after Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City had the pleasure of celebrating Europe Day in the presence of European Union Ambassador to Vietnam Julien Guerrier. EuroCham Vice – Chair Jean Jacques Bouflet, alongside our Board Members Marieke Van Der Pijl, Giando Zappia, Fanny Haniquat, Thue Thomasen, Thang Nguyen, as well as EuroCham Team Delphine Rousselet, Diep Truong, Pauline Dutertre, and Ngoc Anh Pham were also in attendance.
During this special evening, Ambassador Guerrier took a moment to reflect on the EU-Vietnam collaboration.
Key highlights were:
- Economic ties with Vietnam: The EU Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) has significantly boosted trade and investment, making the EU a key economic partner for Vietnam.
- Sustainable development: The focus was also made on the EU’s Global Gateway Strategy and the substantial investments in sustainable infrastructure projects in Vietnam.
We give our heartfelt thanks to the EU Delegation for organising these special commemorative occasions in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, which brought Team Europe together to celebrate European unity in Vietnam’s two biggest cities.
