EuroCham Contributes to Law on Digital Technology Industry & Law on Science, Technology, and Innovation

On 21 May 2025, the Department of Digital Transformation and Cryptography – Central Office of the Communist Party hosted a consultation workshop on the Draft Law on Digital Technology Industry and Law on Science, Technology and Innovation.

The workshop welcomed leaders of the Task Force under the Steering Committee responsible for developing these laws. Representing EuroCham were Mr. Nguyen Hai Minh – Vice-Chairman and Ms. Van Nguyen – Head of Hanoi Office and External Relations.

At the session, EuroCham expressed our support for the enactment of these laws. The new laws are essential to drive the digital technology industry forward and to guide the formulation of national industrial development policies through 2030, with a vision to 2045.

EuroCham also recommended the inclusion of policies and mechanisms to:

  • Support digital technology pilot projects,
  • Foster digital economy development,
  • Regulate IT management responsibilities, and
  • Provide strategic direction for digital technology export development.

As the voice of the European business community in Vietnam, EuroCham remains committed to supporting the country’s digital transformation and innovation journey by offering practical insights and constructive policy recommendations.
