EuroCham Engages with Lithuanian Business Delegation to Strengthen Investment Ties 

On March 12, 2025, EuroCham Vietnam hosted a webinar with Mr. Darius Gaidys – Ambassador of Lithuania to Vietnam, Mr. Arunas Karlonas – Commercial Attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania, and a delegation of almost 30 Lithuanian companies, providing an in-depth discussion on investment opportunities in Vietnam. The meeting also covered preparation for the upcoming visit of Lithuania’s President to Vietnam.

Representing EuroCham Vietnam were Vice-Chairman in charge of Advocacy, Mr. Jean-Jacques Bouflet, Executive Director, Ms. Delphine Rousselet, and key representatives from EuroCham’s Sector Committees, including Digital, Green Growth, Food Agri & Aqua Business, European Standards Medicines, and Medical Devices & Diagnostics. 

Exploring Vietnam’s Investment Landscape 

During the session, Ms. Rousselet provided an overview of Vietnam’s business environment, highlighting key opportunities and challenges for foreign investors. She noted that despite ongoing challenges, Vietnam’s political restructuring and infrastructure development signal strong prospects, reinforcing the country’s attractiveness as an investment destination. 

EVFTA & EVIPA: Strengthening Vietnam-EU Trade Relations 

Mr. Bouflet updated the delegation on the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) and the ratification process of the EU-Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA). He emphasised EuroCham’s close collaboration with the EU Delegation to Vietnam and the Vietnamese government to ensure smooth implementation of these agreements, helping European investors maximise the benefits of Vietnam’s dynamic economy. 

Sector-Specific Investment Opportunities 

Representatives from EuroCham’s Sector Committees also shared sector-specific insights, covering digital transformation, renewable energy, food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices. Discussions explored how Lithuanian businesses can tap into Vietnam’s growing demand for innovation and sustainable solutions. 

Looking Ahead: Preparing for Lithuanian President’s Visit

The webinar facilitated a productive exchange between both sides, setting the stage for continued discussions and deeper cooperation, especially considering the upcoming Lithuanian President’s visit to Vietnam in June 2025.
