On the afternoon of 30 October 2024, EuroCham, represented by members of the Nutritional Food Group Sector Committee (NFG SC) and Ms. Nguyen Cam Van, Head of the Hanoi Office and External Relations Manager, attended a consultation workshop hosted by the Vietnam Food Administration (VFA) under the Ministry of Health in Hanoi. This session centred on finalising the draft Circular on the List of Milk and Functional Foods for children under six, focusing on price declaration and stabilisation regulations.
During the workshop, representatives from the VFA provided updates on the draft Circular, incorporating feedback gathered from prior consultations with business associations, including EuroCham. Deputy Minister of Health, Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen, emphasised the importance of refining specific articles within the Circular to ensure practical implementation.
In a unified effort, representatives from VINAFOSA, VICOPRO, EuroCham (led by Mr. Le Viet Luu of the NFG), AmCham, and VDA, voiced support for the Deputy Minister’s guidance and presented additional recommendations for strengthening the draft. Following a productive dialogue, the Deputy Minister announced that the draft Circular is nearing completion and is expected to be finalised by the following week.
