EuroCham Joins Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s Conference with the Business Community on the occasion of Vietnam’s 80th National Day

On 30 August 2025, in celebration of the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (1945 – 2025), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a high-level Conference with the business community at the Government Office in Hanoi under the theme: “80 Years of Enterprises Accompanying the Nation.”

The event brought together senior leaders including:

  • Mr. Do Van Chien, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front
  • Deputy Prime Ministers Tran Hong Ha, Le Thanh Long, Bui Thanh Son, Nguyen Hoa Binh, Ho Duc Phoc, Nguyen Chi Dung, and Mai Van Chinh
  • Mr. Nguyen Duc Hai, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly
  • Leaders of Party Committees, ministries, and sectors
  • Representatives of 60 state-owned groups and corporations, 141 private enterprises, and 50 foreign-invested enterprises.

Representing EuroCham was Chairman Bruno Jaspaert, Vice-Chair Minh Nguyen, and Head of Hanoi Office cum External Relations Manager Van Nguyen

Prime Minister calls for innovation, creativity, and collaboration

In his keynote remarks, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasised that as Viet Nam enters a new era of prosperity, civilisation, and global integration, the Party and State call on enterprises to build on the proud tradition of the past 80 years. He urged the business community to foster innovation and creativity while working with the Government to achieve the country’s two centennial goals outlined by the 13th National Party Congress.

The Prime Minister stressed the importance of advancing Viet Nam’s three strategic breakthroughs:

  • Developing open and modern institutions
  • Upgrading infrastructure
  • Building a generation of intelligent and responsible entrepreneurs

He also highlighted the role of science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, private sector development, deeper international integration, and education reform as drivers of sustainable growth.

EuroCham pledged to continue contributing to Viet Nam’s development

Speaking on behalf of the European business community, Mr. Bruno Jaspaert, Chairman of EuroCham Vietnam, reaffirmed that Viet Nam is truly a “second home” for foreign investors, thanks to the favorable conditions and incentives provided by the Government. He pledged that EuroCham and its members will continue contributing to Viet Nam’s development by sharing knowledge, skills, and expertise, ensuring mutual growth.

Mr. Jaspaert also acknowledged that while foreign investors may not foresee every challenge, they remain committed to working alongside the Government of Viet Nam to find solutions in the interest of the Vietnamese people.

EuroCham’s participation at this important conference reaffirms our long-standing commitment to strengthening the partnership between Europe and Viet Nam, and to supporting the country’s sustainable development journey.
