On 20 March 2024, EuroCham Vietnam participated in a training course held by the Advisory Council and Taskforce on Administrative Procedure Reform (ACAPR). This event was designed to advance the implementation of ACAPR’s activities for the year. The session was attended by Minh Nguyen, EuroCham Vice-Chairman and Vice-Chair of ACAPR’s Committee 1, dedicated to mechanisms, policies, and administrative procedures reform.
The training course welcomed ACAPR members, notably the Director General of the Government Office’s Administrative Procedure Control Agency, Ngo Hai Phan. The agenda focused on:
- Disseminating the major tasks that ACAPR will tackle in 2024,
- Drafting thematic reports on 1) mechanisms, policies, and legal barriers to attract renewable energy investment, and 2) banking sector issues, proposing solutions for streamlined financial processes and economic growth.
- Exploring methods of offering feedback.
- The importance of a portal designed to collect feedback and proposals from the public and businesses.
ACAPR, guided by the Prime Minister and working under the government’s authority, aims to:
- Streamline and enhance administrative processes.
- Identify and remove red tape and outdated regulations impacting economic development and business operations.
- Foster transparent, efficient, and user-friendly administrative procedures.
- Pool insights from government sectors, the private sector, and international bodies for collaborative, practical reform formulation.
