EuroCham Strengthens EU-Southeast Asia Relations at Hungarian EU Presidency Event

On 6 November 2024, EuroCham Vietnam, as a co-host, joined the “Bridging Europe and Southeast Asia – Hungarian EU Presidency Networking Event” in Ho Chi Minh City, alongside the Consulate General of Hungary and the CEEC Vietnam. This significant gathering celebrated Hungary’s EU Council Presidency for the second half of 2024, bringing together European and Southeast Asian leaders to foster diplomatic and economic dialogue.

EuroCham Executive Director Delphine Rousselet and Vice Chairman Jean-Jacques Bouflet represented EuroCham at the event, joining Mr. Ulrich Weigl, Minister Counsellor and Head of Trade Section of the Delegation of the European Union to Vietnam, in welcoming attendees. EuroCham remains dedicated to enhancing EU-Vietnam cooperation, advocating for strengthened business and policy dialogues to support shared economic and sustainability goals.

The event featured speeches from Consul General Gábor Lehőcz, a video address by Zsigmond Barna Pál, Deputy Minister of Hungary’s Ministry of European Union Affairs, and an address from Vlad Savin, Vice Chairman of CEEC Vietnam. The gathering was further enriched by remarks from His Excellency Mr. Julien Guerrier, Ambassador of the European Union to Vietnam.

EuroCham extends its gratitude to all participants, whose engagement helped make this event a platform for impactful dialogue, reinforcing ties between Europe and Southeast Asia.
