EuroCham Vietnam attended National Assembly’s Vietnam Socio-Economic Forum 2023: Reinforcing Internal Capacity for Sustainable Growth

On 19 September, the Vietnam Socio Economic Forum 2023, centered around the theme “Reinforcing Internal Capacity, Generating Drivers for Growth and Sustainable Development,” brought together key stakeholders and thought leaders to deliberate on strategies to fortify Vietnam’s economic resilience and fuel sustainable development. The event, organized by the National Assembly, featured an array of sessions aimed at addressing the nation’s economic outlook and charting a course for the years ahead.

 

Representing EuroCham at the Vietnam Socio Economic Forum 2023 was Board Member Tri-Mai Hoang. EuroCham’s active participation in this influential gathering underscores its commitment to contributing to Vietnam’s economic development and sustainability.

 

In his opening remarks, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue outlined that the forum would focus on three key aspects:

 

  • Forecasting regional and global economic trends, risks and opportunities for Vietnam in 2023-2024.
  • Evaluating current difficulties, challenges and growth resilience.
  • Defining internal capacities and solutions to drive growth and development over 2021-2025.

 

The Chairman concluded by summarizing delegates’ suggestions around enhancing domestic production, disbursing public funds, stimulating consumer demand, effectively utilizing FTAs, and creating new drivers like private sector growth, digitalization and integration into global value chains.
