On 6 October, EuroCham Vietnam participated in an informative seminar on “Driving Sustainable Growth: Assessing the Role of EVFTA and ESG in Vietnam’s Economic development” in Hai Phong. The event was organized by BeLuxCham in celebration of 50 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Belgium and BeluxCham’s 20th anniversary.
The seminar attracted a C-level engaged audience of 70 people and was initiated by His Excellency Karl Van den Bossche, Ambassador of Belgium to Vietnam with his welcome remarks.
Representing EuroCham at the event was Mr. Minh Nguyen, Vice Chairman of EuroCham Vietnam. He gave an insightful presentation on the impacts of the EVFTA, emerging ESG regulations, EU deforestation regulations, CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directives), CSDDD (Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive), CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism).
In addition to the engaging seminar, attendees enjoyed cultural events in Hai Phong on October 6th like the B.Festival and an opera concert, co-organized by the Belgian Embassy and DEEP C Industrial Zones.
EuroCham was honored to participate in this valuable seminar on sustainable growth. The event highlighted the vital role of the EVFTA and ESG in transforming business in Vietnam.
