On 29 November 2024, the Vietnam Australia Innovation Network hosted the ESG International Reference in Vietnam 2024: SDGs and ESG Management at the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Cultural House. The event gathered key stakeholders to discuss innovative approaches to achieving sustainability and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Mrs. Serena Dang, Co-Chairwoman of EuroCham’s Women in Business Sector Committee (WIB) and a seasoned lawyer with 20 years of experience, delivered a keynote presentation on unlocking the potential role of compliance and agile governance in ESG. Her insights provided a comprehensive overview of the evolving ESG landscape in Vietnam, focusing on legal frameworks and policies that foster sustainable development.
Mrs. Dang emphasised the critical role of compliance in driving corporate ESG initiatives, offering actionable strategies for businesses to align their governance practices with sustainability goals. Her presentation underscored the value of agility in adapting to Vietnam’s dynamic regulatory environment, ensuring long-term compliance and impact.
