On 20 November 2024, EuroCham’s Digital Sector Committee (Digital SC) held the event “Digital Insights Exchange: Integrating Innovation with Compliance in the Digital Age” at EuroCham’s Ho Chi Minh City office. Bringing together industry leaders and digital experts, the event explored the balance between leveraging emerging technologies and adhering to evolving regulatory standards in Vietnam’s digital landscape.
Guiding the discussions were Mr. Pavel Poskakukhin, Co-Chairman of EuroCham’s Digital SC and General Manager at SGH Asia; Mr. Bruno Sivanandan, Co-Chairman of EuroCham’s Digital SC and Founder of Cycle; and Mr. Khanh Nguyen, Vice-Chairman of EuroCham’s Digital SC and Principal at Rouse Vietnam. They provided valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities of integrating innovation with regulatory compliance.
A focal point of the session was the application of Odoo in managing sustainability initiatives. The speakers demonstrated how Odoo’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools help companies enhance transparency, streamline sustainability reporting, and integrate eco-friendly practices into operations. By leveraging Odoo, businesses can manage their environmental impact more effectively.
The session also examined Vietnam’s regulatory landscape, from the Cybersecurity Law introduced in 2019 to the latest digital regulations affecting businesses. The experts offered a comprehensive analysis of these legal developments, outlining strategies for companies to navigate compliance requirements without hindering their innovative capabilities. Attendees left with practical knowledge to address regulatory demands while fostering growth and competitiveness in the digital space.
