The European Union (EU) has taken a significant step forward in its commitment to sustainable development by adopting the “European Anti-Deforestation Regulation (EUDR)” on May 16th 2023. The EUDR regulates a range of agricultural products to ensure they are not linked to deforestation, especially including wood, coffee, and rubber which are three of Vietnam’s main export industries.

Ms. Jennifer PhamRegional Advisor on Sustainable Value Chains at the Embassy of Denmark in Vietnam
Jennifer Pham is the Regional Advisor on Sustainable Value Chains at the Embassy of Denmark in Vietnam. In this role, she navigates the EU regulatory environment to provide sustainability and compliance guidance to Danish companies and their partners throughout Southeast Asia.
Prior to joining the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Jennifer Pham held positions at the global development consulting firm, Dalberg, where she worked alongside government agencies, major private sector donors, and education institutions to strengthen innovation for global development. She has also led and facilitated youth-focused sustainability courses through world-leading institutions and initiatives, including INSEAD, UNLEASH, and Race for Oceans.
Jennifer Pham speaks four languages and holds degrees from Queen’s University in Canada and Copenhagen Business School in Denmark. -
Ms. Loan LeManaging Director of International Economics Consulting (Vietnam)
Ms. Loan Le is the Managing Director of International Economics Consulting (Vietnam).
With a background in international business and trade law, her expertise spans trade and market analysis, multilateral and bilateral trade agreements, trade preferences, trade negotiations, digital trade, trade and sustainable development. Loan has been working on a range of cross-border trade advisory projects, including digital trade connectivity platforms in ASEAN, preferential market access guides, trade negotiation training and advisory work, digital markets, and economic integration programmes across countries in Africa and Asia. She co-authored several handbooks on trade-related issues published by prestigious international organisations. -
Mr Paul-Antoine CroizéBusiness Area Director South-East Asia of Lallemand Animal Nutrition; Vice Chairman of Food, Agri and Aqua Business Sector Committee
Paul-Antoine Croizé is South East Asia Director with Lallemand Animal Nutrition, a company developing and selling microbial solutions for animal nutrition and wellbeing. He is also the vice-chairman of Eurocham Food Agriculture & Aquaculture Business Sector Committee. Paul-Antoine lives in Vietnam since 2017. He holds a Master of Business Administration from INSEAD and a Master Degree in International Relations.

Mr. Cu Van HoSenior Manager - Forestry, Preferred by Nature
Cu oversees the delivery of Preferred by Nature’s forestry services across Asia, East Asia, Southeast Asia and South Asia. He ensures successful service delivery, following Preferred by Nature’s principles and in accordance with international sustainability requirements.
As a Senior Forestry Manager in Preferred by Nature, Cu oversees regional forestry teams, which includes monitoring their performance and ensuring timeliness and quality across all audits. He is also involved in identifying clients for key account management in the region and implementing best practices to maintain and strengthen these relationships. -
Mr. Christian SchriverRegional Director, Southeast Asia Palm Oil Commodity Lead, Preferred by Nature
Chris has 30 years’ experience working with conservation planning and results-oriented action. He has specialised in the interface between people, organisations and environment with a strong focus on capacity building and human resources development.
Christian acts as the Palm Oil Commodity Lead for Preferred by Nature, representing the organisation in all aspects related to the commodity. His role involves advocating and facilitating the widespread adoption of sustainable practices in palm oil production landscapes and supply chains.
