As Vietnam’s business environment grows in scale and complexity, companies are increasingly confronted with evolving risks — from fraud and corruption to regulatory non-compliance and operational vulnerabilities. In many cases, global corporate policies cannot be applied directly in the local context, creating gaps that may leave organisations insufficiently protected.
In this Business Luncheon, EuroCham Vietnam, in collaboration with PwC Vietnam, will explore the fraud and corruption risks that businesses commonly encounter in Vietnam today. Drawing on practical experience and real-world cases across industries, PwC experts will share insights into how these risks arise, where organisations may be most vulnerable, and what practical steps companies can take to strengthen their risk management approach.
The session will also highlight emerging trends in fraud prevention, including the growing role of data analytics and artificial intelligence, as well as the use of whistleblowing mechanisms and internal controls to detect and mitigate risks without disrupting business operations. Designed for industry leaders, finance, compliance, and risk professionals, this event aims to provide practical insights, encourage peer discussion, and offer actionable approaches to strengthening organisational resilience in Vietnam’s evolving business landscape.
What we’ll examine together:
• Key fraud and corruption risks affecting businesses in Vietnam today
• Practical prevention approaches when global policies face challenges in local implementation
• Real-world case studies illustrating how fraud schemes are uncovered and addressed in practice
• Expert perspectives on emerging tools and mechanisms such as data analytics, AI, and whistleblowing systems in risk management
