On 22 September, the Customs Regional Branch II – Customs Department hosted a dialogue conference with enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City. The dialogue aimed to promote the dissemination, communication, and legal education of customs regulations, along with addressing obstacles faced by enterprises in import and export activities following the local administrative merger effective from 1 July 2025.
The dialogue welcomed representatives from the Department of Finance, Consulate General of the Republic of Korea, Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCH), among business representatives.
Representing EuroCham Vietnam, Mr. Juergen Weber – Transportation & Logistics Sector Committee (TLSC) Chair – highlighted suggestions to improve implementation of the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA):
- Building a two-way information exchange mechanism on ecological issues detected during the declaration development process to strengthen confidence of domestic investors and businesses.
- Upholding high standards in data protection and privacy via remaining aware of digital advances, embracing best practices, and working jointly with business and government partners.
