Ho Chi Minh City, 12 January 2018 – Eurocham hosted a Meeting between the Chamber, affiliated business association, its members; and several Ambassadors and high-level diplomats from more than 15 missions of EU member states in Vietnam.
Most diplomats present travelled from Hanoi, along with the EU Ambassador HE Bruno Angelet, who opened the session. Both EuroCham Co-Chairmen, Nicolas Audier and Gellert Horvath, were present together with several members of the Executive Committee, having chaired this Meeting and reported on EuroCham’s key activities in 2017. These of course included the opening of two new Chapters in Vietnam, the Brussels mission and action taken towards the promotion of the EVFTA.
The floor was also given to representatives of EuroCham's Pharma Group, Automotive, and Wine and Spirits Sector Committees; who voiced theur priority advocacy topics directly to the heads of mission. Creating business/investment opportunities in GreenGrowth and topics related to Customs & Trade Facilitation were also mentioned.
The Meeting took place at the Deutsches Haus, that kindly hosted the session, assigning its CEO Mr. Horst Geicke to welcome the delegation.
