On May 31, EuroCham and its Legal Sector Committee (LSC) co-organized a Business Luncheon on “The Impact of The New Vietnamese Land Law” to provide a platform for attendees to discuss the draft Vietnamese Land Law. The event was moderated by Mr. Leif Schneider, Vice-Chairman of the LSC, and featured Paul Volodarsky from DFDL, John Campbell from Savills and Chau Ta from SC Capital Partners.
During the event, Mr. Volodarsky presented an overview of the draft Land Law and explained how it differs from the existing Land Law. He also brought up key issues raised during its public comment phase. After that, Mr. Campbell continued the presentation with an overview of Vietnam’s industrial land, the challenges of investing in industrial parks, and the impact of the draft Land Law on investors.
