Vietnam Airlines Launches New Ho Chi Minh City – Quang Ninh Route

NEW HO CHI MINH CITY – QUANG NINH ROUTE
 

Vietnam Airlines is delighted to announce the launch of its new flight connecting Ho Chi Minh city and Quang Ninh province via Van Don International Airport, starting 30 December 2018.
The daily service will be operated on Airbus A321 and will depart from Tan Son Nhat International Airport at 14:00 and from Van Don Airport at 16:45 with a flight time of around 2 hours and 5 minutes.
On this occasion, Vietnam Airlines is launching promotional one-way fares on Economy class starting from only 800.000 Vietnam Dong (excluding taxes, fees and surcharges). Tickets are available for sale at ticket offices, agents and official website of Vietnam Airlines.
The new service will provide additional capacity to meet increasing tourism, business and trade demand, as well as enhancing connectivity between the South and Northeast of Vietnam: Ho Chi Minh City – the country’s largest economic center and financial hub – and Quang Ninh province and nearby provinces. Quang Ninh is soon to become the special economic zone of Vietnam.

In preparation for this, Vietnam Airlines has provided new onground equipment, airport check-in system, suitable facility and infrastructure as well as intensive staff training…to ensure seamless and secure journey and therefore luring more tourists into this growing market.

About Van Don International Airport:
Van Don district of Quang Ninh is among three special economic zones in Vietnam. Van Don International Airport, with a total investment of 7.5 trillion VND (330 million USD), will be completed by 30 December 2018. The airport covers an area of 288ha and accommodates support facilities, a two-module terminal and functional areas. It is expected to boost the local economy, including tourism at world-famous Ha Long Bay. Van Don airport is expected to welcome 500.000 passengers in the first year of operation and has an annual capacity of about 2,5 million passengers in 2020, which will increase to 5 million by 2030
