EuroCham hosts a meeting with EU Member State trade counselors and the EU Delegation

On 20 October, EuroCham hosted a meeting at our Ho Chi Minh City office with European Union Member State trade counselors and the European Union Delegation to Vietnam., represented by Dr. Carsten Schittek, the Minister Counsellor and Head of Trade Section of the EU Delegation to Vietnam

 

The meeting was an opportunity for EuroCham to provide comprehensive updates to the trade counselors regarding our strategic discussions with the European Commission, European Parliament, and Business Europe during our recent delegation trip to  Brussels

 

EuroCham also outlined the agenda taking shape for our rapidly-approaching Green Economy Forum 2023 on 2 November in Hanoi. The event promises an impressive lineup, with attendees of note including:

  • Prime Minister of Vietnam Pham Minh Chinh
  • Valdis Dombrovskis, who serves as Executive Vice President of the European Commission for an Economy that Works for People, and European Commissioner for Trade,, 
  •  Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte,
  • Ambassador of the European Union to Vietnam

 

The event will also feature twelve  conference sessions highlighting sustainable solutions across twelve green economy topics.

 

To round out the meeting,  EuroCham updated the group on preparations underway for GEFE 2024, which will showcase sustainable innovations across sectors. As EuroCham’s flagship event, GEFE 2024 will drive high-level dialogues between European and Vietnamese leaders on green growth and feature large-scale exhibitions with green solutions. 

 

By engaging closely with EU stakeholders in Vietnam, EuroCham continues strengthening its position as the voice of European business in Vietnam while driving forward sustainability priorities.
